An easy going May Hike

MAY HIKE! Let's go!
Sunday morning Linda and me met went to Central station to catch the train to Cowan, our start and meeting point. Unfortunately we took the suburban line, which ends one station before Cowan and we had to wait for half an hour to get the right intercity train to continue. But two others also missed the right train and we weren't alone. When we got off the train and started hiking the rain and clouds disappeared completely and we could enjoy the now warm & sunny day.
Since we were a bit late the others left us empty beer cans on important junctions to find the right way. Simply following the Great North Walk signs would also have done the job. And after we caught up hiking became a lot more relaxed, because we were stopping more often to enjoy the beer.
For lunch we managed it to cross at Berowra Waters via and find enough space for 10 people inside a fish ' chips restaurant. Because we lost quiet some time earlier this day Ingo asked us not to spend too much time eating. After about an hour we headed back for the ferry to continue, but when we set back over Ingo was to slow and missed the ferry. Therefore he had to wait for the next ferry. But he never recovered fully from that delay, he was always one of the last in our group for the rest of the hike. When we went off the Great North Walk into a side walk to catch a train in Brooklyn we even had to go back and show him the right path.
