Winter Swim - Hike

Mt. Kuring-Gai to Berowra was the plan, starting from Mt. Kuring-Gai Train Station. But instead we did it from Berowra to Mt. Kuring-Gai. We simply weren't patient enough to wait for the train taking us back and so we started from the end.
Once on the track we made good progress and around half way we stopped at Lords Bay for a swim, playing water frisbee and joking about high jacking canoes we saw at the other shore. But instead we made lunch break, enjoying the sun for a while and patched our many wounds we got from the sharp oyster shells all over the stones. When we continued and left our nice & sunny lunch spot it looked like a little massacre had taken place. All but Tristan were bleeding. And it took us some time to get the plasters out of our packs.
In Winson Bay we then saw a heron looking for it's lunch in shallow water and we had another short break before continuing and almost missing the path leading to Mt. Kuring-Gai due to a sign posted in the 'wrong' direction so we couldn't see it straight away.
When we reached the train station we were surprised that it was such a short hike, the information about the hike is somehow different, and state distances between 8 and 12 km.
Overall it was definitely a nice, but short hike. And it would be suitable for a Sunday walk.
